Work has begun on the first project proposed by Wadi Al-Nadara residents in the research phase – the cultural trail. The trail will be a biking, hiking and driving path which aims to showcases the area’s cultural and natural diversity, and its famed historical sites (like Krak de Chevalier).

It will also provide new opportunities for residents to generate income (for example by hosting visitors in their homes, or being tour-guides) and to work with each other on cross-village cultural projects.

Initially, Rawafed is working with community leaders on one model trailthrough the two main areas of the region (Nasra and Howash) and exploring trail themes (for example, oral stories linked to the local landmarks).
